Imagine doing anything without a purpose. Imagine starting a new business without having any idea about what to sell. Or one step further, imagine running a business without even having the goal of producing and selling products in the first place. What would the economy look like if all companies behaved purposelessly? Probably similar to how many people’s lives seems. Everybody doesn’t need to think about the purpose of things all the time, but running a business without any idea of what to sell and how to sell it will likely not bring any profits, and living life without the purpose of being happy will probably not bring a lot of happiness.
